Meier-Brakenberg has been farming pigs for generations. We know exactly how much time it takes to clean and disinfect stables efficiently and thoroughly when your equipment does not suffice your needs at a 100 %. We started developing our own constructions because the equipment which had been available on the market at that time did not meet our requirements. As a result of these considerations we can now present first-class high-pressure cleaners - true specialists for agriculture and subcontractors - and other highly professional equipment for industry and municipal technology.

Animal Scales

To consequently optimize your livestock breeding it is indispensable to carry out check weighing which leads to important findings to increase revenues. Animal weighing machines of Meier-Brakenberg provide you with exact data on weight increases and allow effective control of animals and performance. You will always be informed about the optimum sales weight and therefore the ideal date of sale. We have developed mobile and stationary multi-purpose scales for precise weighing of moving animals. Our product range includes mobile scales for individual animals, stationary low-floor scales and special constructions such as the large size bull weighing machine at Hamburg harbour, a special construction with selection gate which is used at Hamburg harbour to weigh bulls for export.

Porky's Pick Up for fattening pigs and Porky's Pick Up XL for sows fundamentally revolutionise carcass transport. The dead animal is picked up without any physical strain or contact. With the self-propelled Porky ́s Pick Up, you go right up to the animal in the pen. With three electric pick-up rollers, the animal is pulled onto the vehicle at the push of a button. Transporker is light, small and is carried by hand directly to the carcass. When animals feel good, earnings grow. What can we do to offer long-lasting activities to animals kept indoors? How can we offer roughage? Our solutions are Porky’s Strawtomat, Pelletomat, the Fun Box or the Rack. All automats allow dosing of different types of roughage and are partially adjustable and adaptable to the materials. Our Nibbling Pipe offers organic activity materials. Sustainable and inexpensive at the same time, it replaces plastic activity materials with wooden slats. Our Scrubbing Wall was developed especially for animal welfare. It is in use at farms where measures in accordance with the Initiative Tierwohl are implemented.

Drinking systems

Complete systems with practical details.

We construct and deliver our drinking systems custom-made and based on individual planning for your stable. They have been especially developed for sow management, piglet rearing and pig fattening.

We have continuously developed and optimized drinking systems and invested great care and passion in useful and detailed solutions. Today our drinking systems can be found in many operations where they ensure the supply of fresh water and additives.

Holders for circulation flow drinking systems integrated into a loop line system. The circulation line is ideal for dosing medications. The return flow pipe is designed to serve as a guard bracket in front of the nipples.

This is the solution for piglet pens: Up to 5 nipples at the flow system. Show in the picture: 3 nipples for a pen with 30 piglets. All automatic feeders with circulation line, also integrated in the ring. This way it is possible to dose medication into the drinking water.

Standard drinking system for liquid feed.

Our drinking systems with branch lines leading to pens and supply line in the central aisle are ideal for stables with liquid feed. Also they are perfectly suitable for operations without dosing of medication through the drinking water. With our dosing unit MBDos it is also possible to add acids for the optimization of gastrointestinal flora.

Circulation drinking system for dosing medication.

Our circulation drinking systems consist of loop lines inside the pens and a separate loop line in the central aisle where it is intended to have an additional fresh water line. There is a chemical resistant ball tap in front of each pen to select between fresh water supply or medication solution feed-in. Due to the constant circulation of the drinking water even non-soluble medications remain in suspension and reach the animals safely.

All drinking systems are acid resistant. The supply lines are made of PVC. For parts within reach of the animals we use stainless steel exclusively. Depending on the requirements we install stainless steel holders with up to 7 nipples.

Drinking system holder with circulation and guard bracket.

The return flow pipe of the circulation drinking system holder serves also as a guard bracket. An ideal solution to prevent pigs from injury caused by nipple ends. The carcass can therefore be fully factored for billing. Moreover, the return flow pipe is easier to install compared with common holders due to only few mounting materials.

Drinking bowls comply with animal welfare criteria.

Drinking from open surfaces is one of the criteria of the initiative Tierwohl! In our stainless steel bowls the water accumulates on one side. Due to the optimized shape there is only limited open water surface. That increases hygiene inside the bowl. The pipe connection for a 1/2" water line is outside the bowl.

Mother-child bowl for sow management.

The perfect solution for the farrowing pen is our mother-child drinking bowl. It enables the sow and piglets to drink from open surface at the same time. The Aqua-Level keeps the water level up.

Different applications require individual solutions. We offer drinking bowls for any application from sow management to fattening pens. The drinking bowls fulfil the animal welfare criteria for "drinking from open surfaces"!
